Initial Setup

Theme template requirements

To properly configure theme you need to add pages template:

  • Add recipe
  • Blog
  • Home
  • Contact
  • Recipe list
  • User edit

These pages are necessary for front-end user recipe menagment.

Setting home page

Go to Administration > Settings > Reading panel.

Set ‘Front page displays:’ to ‘a static page’ and choose the Home page you created above for ‘Front page.’ If your WordPress site will contain a blog section, set ‘Posts page’ to the Blog page you created for this above. Otherwise, leave this blank.
Click Save Changes.

Configuration

To access the settings you need to select Theme settings form Appearance navigation menu

Home config

Upload logo, footer logo and favicon

Upload From Your Computer

  • Click on the Choose file button
  • Simply drag and drop your files into the box that appears, or click Select Files to choose a file from your computer to upload.
  • Once the uploading/crunching process has complete, click on the File URL button (the type of link you choose will be saved for next time).
  • Click the Insert into Post button.
  • You should now have a working download link to the file input text.

Upload From URL

  • Click on the Choose file button
  • Click on the From URL tab.
  • Choose the Image
  • Enter the URL of the file and the Title (i.e. the link text). Click the Insert into Post button.
  • You should now have a working download link to the file input text.

Select From Media Library

  • Click on the Choose file button
  • Click on the Media Library tab.
  • Locate the file you wish to add and click its Show link.
  • Click on the File URL button (the type of link you choose will be saved for next time).
  • Click the Insert into Post button
  • You should now have a working download link to the file input text.

Pagination number

To change Number of recipe in home page, you must edit file input text and save settings.

Social config

These options allow you to link your social media accounts to your website.

Style config

These options allow you to set background colors and background image for your website’s header and footer. You can also customize your font and include from google fonts.

Default font is Roboto, sans-serif.

Home slider config

You can select posts that will be visible in Home slider. You can search for posts from input form.

Footer config

Custom css

To insert custom css, you must edit textarea and save settings.

Google analytic JS code

To complete this process, you must have a Google Analytics account and property already set up.

  • Find the tracking code snippet for your property. Sign in to your Google Analytics account, and select the Admin tab. From the ACCOUNT and PROPERTY columns, select the property you’re working with. Click Tracking Info > Tracking Code.
  • Find your tracking code snippet. It’s in a box with several lines of JavaScript in it. Everything in this box is your tracking code snippet. It starts with <script> and ends with </script>.
    The tracking code contains a unique ID that corresponds to each Google Analytics property. Don’t mix up tracking code snippets from different properties, and don’t reuse the same tracking code snippet on multiple domains.
  • Copy the snippet.
    Don’t edit your snippet. Just copy it
  • Paste your snippet (unaltered, in its entirety) into text area for Google analytic JS code

Footer text

To change footer text, you must edit file input text and save settings.

Social config

These options allow you to link your social media accounts to your website.

Contact config

These options allow you to set contact form email and reCAPTCHA settings.

Google reCAPTCHA

To use recaptcha you need to register gmail account and set Google reCAPTCHA API for SITE key and SECRET key.
